Samantha Kappagoda Authored Board Governance of AI and Emerging Technologies
Samantha Kappagoda, Chief Data Scientist of Numerati® Partners and Independent Director of the Credit Suisse Funds, authored an article titled Board Governance of AI and Emerging Technologies for Directors & Boards Magazine. Her article focused on specific examples of oversight for board committees, in addition to identifying some operative issues.
Samantha was previously recognized as a Director to Watch in the Directors & Boards public company 2024 edition, and subsequently was invited to speak on the panel Inhuman Capital: AI, the Workplace and the Board at Character of the Corporation.

Samantha Kappagoda currently serves as an Independent Director / Trustee, Nominating Committee Chair and Audit Committee Member of Credit Suisse Funds, which are comprised of closed-end funds (NYSE: DHY and CIK) and open-end funds investing in commodity, high yield and credit strategies. She is also Chief Data Scientist and Co-Managing Member of Numerati Partners LLC, Visiting Scholar at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences NYU, advising research activities at RiskEcon® Lab for Decision Metrics @ Courant Institute, and a Member of the Business Board of the Governing Council at the University of Toronto.
