Samantha Kappagoda, Chief Data Scientist of Numerati® Partners and Independent Director / Trustee of Credit Suisse Funds, was invited to speak at the 3rd Annual Women Get On Board Summit in Toronto on May 15, 2024. Women Get On Board Inc. (WGOB) was founded in 2015 with a mission to elevate the next generation of women corporate directors.
Samantha participated in a panel entitled AI and Data Governance, addressing how board members can consider incorporating AI into corporate strategy, and what risks and challenges might be faced in doing so. Samantha’s fellow panelists were Sam Ip, Partner in the Technology practice at Osler Hoskin & Harcourt, and Della Shea.
Samantha Kappagoda is Chief Data Scientist and Co-Founder of Numerati Partners LLC, and Visiting Scholar at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences NYU, advising research activities at RiskEcon® Lab for Decision Metrics @ Courant Institute. She also currently serves as an Independent Director / Trustee, Nominating Committee Chair and Audit Committee Member of Credit Suisse Funds, which are comprised of two closed-end funds (NYSE: DHY and CIK) and six open-end funds investing in commodity, quantitative and high yield and credit strategies.
